Support
I have asked my mobile users to download the Apps2Data app. How do I know they have downloaded it and how do I know the devices are connected and sending data to the central server?
You will receive an email once a day showing you which devices have connected and which have not.
You can check sooner by logging into the Apps2Data portal and see a summary of all connected devices.
Is there a delay in Apps2Data reporting?
Apps2Data is a near real-time service.
Response times may vary, but in the home country, we expect data usage to be logged every 30 or 60 minutes depending you your mobile setup and operating system. When roaming, a notification is sent as soon as the device connects to the Internet via WiFi or mobile network.
What happens when a user arrives in another country?
As soon as the device connects via WiFi or mobile data, the Apps2Data app will send an alert to notify that the user has arrived in another country.
What happens if the device is turned off?
The Apps2Data app will store the data and send it the next time it has a data connection.
What happens if the device user deletes the Apps2Data app?
Data will not be collected or sent back to the Apps2Data dashboard. However, the Apps2Data system will send an alert to the bill payer after 24 hours saying “no data has been received in the latest 24 hours”. Refer to the Dealing with alerts section.
How do I give feedback on my Apps2Data experience?
Please complete the contact us form with your feedback. We appreciate all comments about your Apps2Data experience. Thanks in advance for making Apps2Data a better service.
What do I need to do to ensure the service works?
To make sure your data is collected from all your devices:
• Make sure the user’s mobile is turned on and working.
• Keep the battery level on devices above 20%.
• Do not turn the phone off
• Make sure the app is installed on each device.
• On Android devices, make sure the battery optimisation software is turned off.
Can I see which apps are using my data allowance?
Android devices can see an app-by-app breakdown of their data usage. Apps2Data provides an hourly breakdown of that usage, so that you can tell what time of day each app is being used.
Apple devices do not support the detailed app-by-app breakdown, but overall data usage is collected.
What happens if the user has turned on airplane mode?
The latest data usage will not be lost. The Apps2Data app will store the data and send it the next time it has a data connection.
What happens if the user puts the Apps2Data app to sleep?
The Apps2Data app is designed to run in the background. It occasionally attempts to wake up and send usage data to the portal.
I have a problem with Apps2Data, what can I do?

Dealing with alerts
No data received from one of my devices
The main reasons this may happen are:
• The device may be turned off or not connected to the Internet
• The device’s battery level may be too low. Both Apple and Android turn off certain apps to preserve battery.
We suggest you:
• Check the device is switched on and properly charged.
• Check the app is installed and running by opening it on the device concerned.
• Check the device is connected to the Internet by opening up a web browser on the device.
• If the problem persists the next day, delete the app from the device, download it again and reconnect.
If you are still having problems, then please email service@Apps2Data.com and we will be in touch ASAP
